1.2.1 Astro Orbiter

Think of the happiest things. It's the same as having wings!

-Peter Pan, Peter Pan

1.2.1Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland
Astro Orbiter is somewhat similar to the Dumbo and Magic Carpets of Aladdin rides. You get to pilot your own spaceship up and down as you fly around the sky around Tomorrowland! It's a fun little ride, and I enjoyed it a quite a bit. There -are- differences, the main one being that you are much higher on the Astro Orbiter than on Dumbo. That being so, this might not be the best ride for people super afraid of heights. Having said that, it's still a pretty low-key ride.

I really like the planets. When doing this ride at night, I will pretend that I am an astronaut on my way to be the first woman on the Moon! I wanted to be an astronaut when I was younger, but I suck at math, so Disney helps realize that dream, even if only for the few minutes that I am in the air.

Here is the Disney webpage for the Astro Orbiter: Astro Orbiter

And the video for the day is......... *drumroll* TAH DAH!!

This is a group called PROJECT. Their names are Greg Patillo, Eric Stephenson, and Peter Seymour. They came to my high school during my Junior year, and I thought that it was one of the coolest shows I've ever seen! The beat-boxing flute is awesome, and hilarious! Plus, they're just really good!

Enjoy the show!!
My dear Caper-kitty, she was napping this morning while I was doing homework.

1.1.1 The Magic Kingdom Welcome Ceremony

When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.

-Walt Disney

So, I'm changing it up again! Go figure! I'm easily distracted, if you couldn't already tell :P So, I have started what I like to call "The Ultimate (Unofficial) Disney Checklist" and it is exactly what it sounds like!

That being said, here we go!

1.1.1 The Magic Kingdom Welcome Ceremony
I absolutely adore this ceremony! All of the guests who are present at park opening get to see a bunch of the Disney characters (some of which are present in the above photo) come out and say hello and welcome you to the park. They play music and dance around, and there's a thing with the train. I've only seen it once (my mom doesn't like to get up early enough for us to get there on time to see it, but maybe I can talk her into it this time, fingers crossed!), but it was definitely worth doing! As someone who does not typically go to meet the characters, I adored seeing all of the ones that were there!

Here is the Disney page for the ceremony: Magic Kindgom Welcome Show

Here is my video for the day :)

I really like this song, it's called "Everything At Once" by Lenka, and was used in a Blu-Ray ad that Disney made a few years back. The music video is a little different, but I think that some of the forced perspective is really cool (that probably made me sound really artsy, but I'm really not :P )

Anyway, Enjoy!!
This is me when I was 13, I got to meet the Weasley twins at the premiere of the Order of the Phoenix movie!!
